Direct Hit technology
Direct hit technology was *sorely* lacking. They recorded the hits for each search word, and for a multiword search merged the top 100 terms for each search term. This is frighteningly bad from an information retrival standpoint, and when we did due diligence on this company in 1998 I gave it a strong thumbs down.June 13, 2006
